dc.description.abstract	La globalización y la tecnificación de las industrias, entre otros, han convertido la educación superior en un requisito prioritario durante el proceso de selección del personal. Con el fin de mantener la relación industria-academia en constante evolución, preparándose para los retos de un mundo en constante cambio, la implementación de programas de posgrado en diversas áreas, dígase maestrías, doctorados y especializaciones, se han vuelto una imperiosa necesidad para los centros de educación superior. Este trabajo de grado propone la creación de una maestría en el área de administración, acorde con el perfil del egresado en la región, las necesidades presentadas por la sociedad y el entorno, cumpliendo con los estándares de calidad y requisitos legales, continuando así en la búsqueda de la excelencia y la calidad en los programas de posgrado ofrecidos por la Universidad Industrial de Santander La Maestría en Gerencia de Negocios - MBA, se constituye para la Escuela de Estudios Industriales y Empresariales en un nuevo paso para el desarrollo continuo de programas de posgrado con altos estándares de calidad que les permitan a los profesionales, mediante la aplicación de los conocimientos adquiridos en la ejecución de este programa, convertirse en generadores de ideas y proyectos que se transformen en ventajas competitivas para la industria de la región y el país.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Globalization and modernization of industries, among others, have made higher education a priority requirement for the selection of staff. The improvement in the quality of education allows companies to be more exigent during the recruitment process, making the master's degree in a necessity for those who want to go a step beyond its competitors and excel. Moreover, in these times of crisis, academia and industry are urging new talents with fresh ideas, motivation to investigate and the ability to propose new methodologies, techniques and intelligent solutions in each of the areas of knowledge. In order to maintain industry-academia relationship evolving, preparing for the challenges of a changing world, the implementation of graduate programs in several areas, say masters, doctoral and specialization have become an urgent need for higher education institutions. This paper proposes the creation of a degree of expertise in the area of administration, according to the graduate's profile in the region, the needs expressed by society and the environment, meeting quality standards and legal requirements, thus continuing the pursuit of excellence and quality in the graduate programs offered by the Industrial University of Santander. The Master of Business Administration - MBA, is made for the School of Industrial and Business Studies in a new step in the continued development of graduate programs with high quality standards that will enable professionals, through the application of acquired knowledge in implementing this program, become generators of ideas and projects that are transformed into competitive advantages for industry in the region and country.
