| dc.description.abstract | El grupo de Sistemas del Centro Control Contaminación del Pacífico (CCCP), con el propósito de brindar soporte a las actividades realizadas por el grupo de Oceanografía Operacional, decidió realizar un conjunto de herramientas Web que les permitiera a los usuarios del Portal Web del CCCP, visualizar información de gran importancia, como son las condiciones océano-atmosféricas del Pacífico, el nivel de la marea o el avance de fenómenos como El Niñofl o La Niñafl. Con el desarrollo de estas herramientas, el practicante tiene la posibilidad de poner a prueba los conocimientos adquiridos durante la carrera e integrar diferentes disciplinas como son la meteorología y la informática desde el punto de vista de desarrollo de aplicaciones Web, diseño y gestión de bases de datos. Los objetivos principales del desarrollo de este trabajo de grado son: 1) Adquirir conocimientos sobre el manejo de herramientas software de desarrollo Web de libre distribución, y 2) Participar en el desarrollo de herramientas para la Central de Pronósticos del CCCP, aplicando técnicas de diseño, implementación y pruebas de la Programación Extrema (XP). Para el desarrollo de las herramientas Web planeadas en esta práctica empresarial, se siguió la metodología XP. Esta metodología es un conjunto de normas y recomendaciones encaminadas a producir software de calidad y su objetivo principal es la búsqueda de la satisfacción del cliente, manteniendo durante todo el tiempo su confianza en el producto. Con el uso de esta metodología se desarrolló las siguientes tres herramientas Web: Módulo Web para los Pronósticos Meteomarinos, Módulo Web para el Pronóstico de Mareas y Módulo Web para la reseña Cartográfica del Pacífico. Con estas tres herramientas Web, los usuarios del Portal Web podrán disponer de la información publicada en cualquier momento y en cualquier lugar, contando básicamente con una conexión a Internet. | dc.description.abstractenglish | The Systems Group of the Centro Control Contaminación del Pacífico (CCCP), with the purpose to offer support at the activities realized by the Operational Oceanography group, decided to develop a group of Web tools allowing users of the CCCP Web Portal visualize information of great importance, like the ocean-atmospheric conditions of the Pacific, the tides level or the advance of phenomena like El Niñofl or La Niñafl. With the development of these tools, the practitioner has the possibility to put on test the acquired knowledge during the career and integrate different disciplines like meteorology and computer science from the point of view of Web applications development, design and administration of databases. The main objectives of the development of this degree project are: 1) Acquire knowledge on the handling of software tools for free distribution Web development, and 2) Participate in the development of tools for the Prognostics Central of the CCCP, applying methods of design, implementation and tests of the Extreme Programming (XP). For the development of the Web tools planned in this enterprise practice, the XP methodology was followed. This methodology is a group of rules and recommendations directed to produce quality software and its main objective is the search of the client satisfaction, maintaining during the whole time his confidence in the product. With the use of this methodology the following three Web tools were developed: Web Module for the Meteomarines Prognostics, Web Module for the Tide Prognostic and Web Module for the Cartographic Review of the Pacific. With these three Web tools, the users of the Web Portal will be able to obtain the information published in any moment and any place, having basically an Internet connection.
