dc.description.abstract	La importancia que ha venido adquiriendo el Biocomercio hace que cada vez sean mayores los estudios y las investigaciones enfocados en la producción y comercialización de productos agrícolas, plantas medicinales y aromáticas. Este trabajo se basa principalmente en el análisis de la rentabilidad de las empresas dedicadas al Biocomercio en el municipio de Bucaramanga a través de sus estados financieros, además busca mostrar las potencialidades que posee el municipio de Bucaramanga en materia de biodiversidad, competitividad y sostenibilidad ambiental. A lo largo del documento se identifican las fortalezas de las empresas dedicadas al Biocomercio en Bucaramanga analizando no solo la rentabilidad en términos financieros sino la sostenibilidad ambiental y el aporte de estas a la conservación del medio ambiente. En la primera parte del trabajo se busco a través de la página web de los 87 municipios que conforman el Departamento de Santander información acerca de las actividades agrícolas, agendas empresariales y planes de desarrollo, por medio de este análisis se identifico que a pesar de contar con grandes ventajas en materia de biodiversidad, clima, tierra entre otros, los municipios no se han dado a conocer a nivel nacional ni Internacional. En la segunda fase se recolecto la información tanto financiera como documentos soporte para llevar a cabo la investigación en diferentes instituciones y se identifico el estado actual del Biocomercio en el municipio de Bucaramanga y la situación en materia de rentabilidad en las empresas estudiadas.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Biocommerce has acquired great importance in all type of studies and research focused on the production and marketing of agricultural products, medicinal plants and herbs. This project is based mainly in the analysis of the profitability of the companies dedicated to Biocommerce in the county of Bucaramanga throughout their financial states. In addition it seeks the potentialities that the county of Bucaramanga contains in biodiversity affairs, competitiveness and environment sustainability. Along the document is exposed the strengths of the companies dedicated to the Biocommerce in Bucaramanga, how they are identified analyzing not only the profitability in financial terms, but also the environmental sustainability and the contribution to the environment conservation. In the first part of the project the purpose was to seek through the web page of the 87 counties that form the state of Santander information about the agricultural activities, enterprise agendas and development plans, by the means of this analysis, it was identified that even though the counties embrace high biodiversity, weather, soil among others, the counties have not been recognized nationally or internationally. In the second phrase, collection of financial information and sources to carry on the investigation in different institutions was implemented and it was recognized the actual state of Biocommerce in the county of Bucaramanga and the situation of the profitability of the studied companied.
