| dc.description.abstract | A partir del año 2.001 se vienen desarrollando de forma extensiva cultivos de palma africana o palma de aceite sobre territorios de propiedad colectiva, otorgados por medio de la ley 70 de 1.993, pertenecientes a las comunidades negras de Curvaradó y Jiguamiandó, al norte del departamento del Chocó. Se afirma que el 93% de los cultivos establecidos para el año 2.005 pertenecen a comunidades afrocolombianas, es decir, 3.834 hectáreas han sido cultivadas sin tener en cuenta la legalidad existente. La difícil situación social y económica de la población del departamento del Chocó implica la formulación de programas de desarrollo que mejoren la calidad de vida de las personas. Para señalar la pertinencia o no del proyecto palmero, se pretende analizar su impacto territorial, ambiental y socioeconómico en la zona de estudio. Igualmente, se toma como marco teórico la Economía para la Comunidad, como propuesta alternativa basada en el fortalecimiento de estructuras sociales, en este caso comunidades afrocolombianas, como eje del desarrollo económico y social. Este trabajo se divide en cuatro capítulos, inicialmente un marco teórico; el segundo capitulo es una descripción social y economía de la costa Pacífica y del Chocó, teniendo en cuenta aspectos como salud, educación y servicios públicos. El tercer capitulo es una ilustración de la agroindustria de la palma africana nacional e internacionalmente, mostrando los principales productores y compradores de aceite de palma en el mundo, además, la producción por zonas, exportaciones, compradores internos y crédito en Colombia. El cuarto capitulo hace referencia al establecimiento de cultivos de palma en el departamento del Chocó. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | Since 2.001 many cultivations of African palm or oil palm have been developed in territories of collective property given by means of the law 70 of 1.993, belonging to the black communities of Curvaradó and Jiguamiandó, to the north of the Department of Chocó. It is affirmed that the 93% of the established cultivations for the year 2.005 belong to afrocolombians communities, that is to say 3.834 hectares have been cultivated without keeping in mind the existent legality. The difficult social and economical situation of the population in the Department of Chocó implies the formulation of the development programs that improve the quality of the life of people. For indicating the relevancy or not of the palm project, it is sought to analyze its territorial, environmental and the socio-economical impact in the zone of studio. Equally, the economy is taken like theoretical mark for the Community, as an alternative proposition based on the strengthening of the social structures, in this case, afrocolombianas communities like axis of the economic and social development. This work contains four chapters. The initially is a theoretical mark; the second one is a socio-economical description of the Pacific Coast and the zone of Chocó, keeping in mind some important aspects like health, the education the and public services. The third chapter is an illustration of the agro industry of the African palm national and internationally , showing the main producers and the buyers of the oil palm in the world, also, the production for areas, the exportations, the internal buyers and credit in Colombia. The fourth chapter makes reference to the establishment of the cultivations of the palm in the Department of Chocó. | |
