This paper presents the rhetorical tools that mitigate, validate, or legitimize violence as a mechanism of social interaction in children ages 6 to 12 in Mexico City. It is based on an analysis of the discourses of 3,000 children portraying the most important cultural aspects that sustain violent subjective interaction and the historic cultural facts that gave birth to the lessons that encourage the normalization of social violence.
