En este artículo haremos una introducción a la teoría geométricade grupos. Veremos cómo a partir de una presentación finita de un grupo, se puede dotar a dicho grupo de una estructura de espacio métrico; se discute la acción del grupo sobre dicho espacio y se estudian propiedades geométricasque se preservan bajo cuasi isometría.
In this article we will give an introduction to geometric group theory. We will see how from a finite presentation of a group, we can give this group a metric space structure. We discuss the action of the groupon this space and we study geometric properties preserved under quasiisometry.
