RESUMEN El presente ensayo tiene la pretensión de poner en claro el sentido de las ciencias humanas a partir de la reflexión sobre lo que está implícito en el título que se les dio originariamente, el de ciencias del espíritu (Geisteswissenschaften). Para ello empieza clarificando lo que entendemos habitualmente por ciencias. En un segundo momento se muestra la particularidad de las ciencias humanas y, con ello, su posible legitimidad y sentido. ABSTRACT This essay tries to clarify the meaning of the human sciences through a reflection on what is implicit in the title originally given to them (Geisteswissenschaften).
