Abstract
Description
SUMMARY In spite of the fact that the War of the Thousand Days was ended with the Treaty of Winsconsin, the state of unrest and violence among the people of Santander continued during all the first decade of this century. Criminality in this period was varied, however in this article only crimes considered serious will be examined according to a proposed classification. The examples used here as illustrations try to demostrate that this war and the consequent economic and political collapse show a crucial stage in the development of the violence models in Colombia.
