dc.description.abstractLa ostensible problemática de movilidad en los cuatro municipios que conforman el área metropolitana de Bucaramanga, a saber; Bucaramanga, Floridablanca, Girón y Piedecuesta, reflejada en la incidencia negativa sobre el desarrollo urbano, los impactos ambientales, y en las dificultades manifiestas en la vida de las personas, han motivado el desarrollo del presente trabajo cuyo esfuerzo está orientado a la identificación de las problemáticas más acuciantes del conjunto urbano en términos de movilidad y transporte, y a la revisión del insumo más básico para planear y controlar la movilidad de una urbe; los datos. Se busca realizar un acercamiento a las principales entidades que controlan la movilidad en el área metropolitana para conocer desde su perspectiva los aspectos más relevantes de los conflictos que enfrentan diariamente cada uno de los municipios y adicionalmente conocer la cantidad y la calidad de la información primaria y secundaria que se usa en las decisiones de planeación y control de la movilidad, así como los recursos y las herramientas destinados a tal fin. Además se pretende plantear una discusión desde la perspectiva de una movilidad sostenible donde priman las personas en contraste con el modelo actual del sistema de transporte donde prima el vehículo particular. También se pretende analizar y valorar el estado de la información por medio de indicadores considerados en tanto a la calidad, la cantidad y la actualización, y lograr una serie de conclusiones y recomendaciones para perseguir la armonía entre la estructura urbana, la necesidad de movilizarse y el medio ambiente, y para la consecución, disposición y cabal utilización de los datos como fuente de sustento de todas las decisiones, y por otra parte hacer un pequeño atisbo al mal uso o carencia de la información, como una de las causas de los complejos problemas de movilidad en el área metropolitana.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe evident problematic of mobility in the four municipalities of the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga, namely, Bucaramanga, Floridablanca, Girón and Piedecuesta, reflected in the negative impact on urban development, environmental impact and the manifest difficulties in the lives of people, have motivated the development of this work whose effort is geared to the identification of the most important problems of the urban set about mobility and transport and the revision of the most basic input for planning and checking the mobility of a city; the data. It seeks to make an approach to the main entities that mobility control in the metropolitan area from its perspective the most relevant aspects of the conflicts faced by each of the municipalities on a daily basis and, in addition, to know the quantity and quality of primary and secondary information used in planning decisions and mobility control, as well as the resources and tools designed for this purpose. It also pretend to raise a discussion from the perspective of the sustainable mobility where people prevail in contrast to the current model of the transport system where the private vehicle is most important. Furthermore, it aims to analyze and evaluate the state of the information through indicators considered in terms of quality, quantity and update, and achieve a series of conclusions and recommendations to pursue the harmony between urban structure, the need to mobilize and the environment, and for the achievement, disposition and full use of data as a source of support for all decisions, and on the other hand make a small glimpse of misuse or lack of information, as one of the causes of the complex mobility problems in the metropolitan area
