dc.description.abstractMi Delirio sobre el Chimborazo: Reactualización del mito prometéico, es un trabajo de investigación que pretende realizar un análisis interpretativo de este relato ficcional escrito por Simón Bolívar en el año de 1822. Desde una perspectiva que examina el texto como una reapropiación del mito de Prometeo en una relación intertextual del mismo, se plantea un cierto número de variantes que, a partir de sus interconexiones, configuran la reactualización de este mito que es absorbido por una instancia que se le ha denominado Yo, y que es el centro de donde se desprende todo el universo del relato, de la acción y de la creación estética. A partir de esta perspectiva, el primer capítulo es sobre la organización del texto desde el punto de vista de esta instancia llamada Yo. También tenemos en esta primera parte, la estructura narrativa compuesta por sus respectivas macroproposiciones: El Viaje, el Encuentro con el Tiempo y el Retorno. Por su parte, el segundo capítulo trata sobre los personajes; los cuales, a partir de las funciones que desarrollan, constituyen el sistema soporte de todo el entramado narrativo. Estos son: El Yo, el Tiempo, Iris, Belona, Humboldt y La Condamine. Como punto de referencia importante dentro de la obra se encuentra también la montaña del Chimborazo, que sin llegar a configurar específicamente un personaje, sí cumple una función central dentro del relato. Finalmente, el tercer capítulo propondrá la hipótesis de la reactualización del mito prometéico en el relato. Veremos cómo el Yo de “Mi Delirio...” absorbe algunas de las variantes del mito que apuntan a configurar la categoría de Genio Prometéico, que es en últimas, la tesis que aporta este trabajo de análisis al estudio de este Texto.
dc.description.abstractenglishMy Delirium on the Chimborazo an up-dating as the Myth of Prometheus, is a research work which attempts on interpretative analysis of this fictitious account written by Simon Bolívar in 1822. From a perspective which examines the text as a re-appropiation of the Myth of Prometheus in a intertextual relationship with itself, a certain number of variants are raised, which starting from their interconnections from the up-dating of this myth, which is absorbed by an entity nominated Ifl (Yo) who is the centre from where all the universe of the account, of the action and the esthetic creation are detached. Given this perspective, the first chapter is about the organization of the text from the point of view of this entity named Ifl. In this first part, we also have the narrative structured composed of its respective macropropositions: The Journey (El Viaje), The Encounter with timefl (El encuentro con el tiempo) and The Return (El retorno). On the other hand, the second chapter deals with the characters who along with the functions they carry out, make up the narrative plot. These are: The Ifl, the Timefl, Iris, Belona, Humbolg and TheCandaminefl. As a reference point within this work, the Mountain of the Chimborazo is also playing a central function inside the account without being an explicit character. Finally, the third chapter proposes a hypothesis of the up-dating as the muth of Prometheus in their account. Wesee how the Ifl in My Delirium–fl absorbs some of the variants of the myth which aim at the formation of the category of the Prometheic Genius, which at the end is, the thesis which supports this work of analysis in the study of this
