dc.description.abstractEl trabajo de grado desarrollado en modalidad Trabajo de Investigación presenta la evaluación del programa de pregrado de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, en comparación con el plan de estudios de otras universidades nacionales e internacionales a fin de encontrar diferencias y/o similitudes significativas. En un principio, se recolectó la información de diferentes rankings universitarios con los cuales, junto a otros criterios, permitió determinar las muestras de universidades para estudio por asignaturas y contenido programático. Con base en dichas muestras, se agrupan los planes de estudio y contenido de programa de las instituciones, para así realizar los respectivos análisis descriptivos y de clúster, en función de las áreas de formación propuestas por la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y las áreas de conocimiento propuestas por el Instituto de Ingenieros Industriales y de Sistemas (IISE). Luego de realizar los análisis correspondientes, tanto a nivel general como individual, se procede a extraer las conclusiones más relevantes, de interés para el programa, con las recomendaciones oportunas.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe undergraduate Project developed in form of Research Project presents the evaluation of the Industrial Engineering undergraduate program of the Industrial University of Santander, in comparison with the curriculum of other national and international universities in order to find significant differents and/or similarities. In the beginning, information was recolected from different University rankings which, together with other criteria, made it possible to determine the samples of universities to be studied by subject and programmatic content. Based on these samples, the curriculum and program content of the institutions are grouped in order to perform the respective descriptive and cluster analyses, according to the training areas proposed by the National University of Colombia and the areas of knowledge proposed by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). After performing the corresponding analysis, both at a general and individual level, the most relevant conclusions of interest to the program are drawn, with the appropriate recommendations.
