dc.description.abstractLos estudiantes de la carrera de Diseño Industrial suelen enfrentar dificultades para asimilar los contenidos históricos de la asignatura Historia del Diseño, debido al volumen de información y la falta de recursos que faciliten su comprensión. Aunque inicialmente consideran la materia interesante, su percepción se deteriora con el tiempo, llegando a considerarla poco relevante para su formación profesional. Ante esta problemática, se desarrolló un Objeto Virtual de Aprendizaje (OVA) Trazos Históricos, una herramienta interactiva diseñada para presentar información resumida, material audiovisual y actividades didácticas con el objetivo de motivar a los estudiantes desde una perspectiva dinámica y fomentar la comprensión del Diseño Industrial en el siglo XX. La metodología empleada se dividió en tres fases: Identificación, diseño y evaluación. Estas permitieron detectar necesidades específicas de estudiantes y docentes, estructurar los contenidos del OVA, definir su identidad visual, y evaluar su impacto en términos de eficiencia, efectividad y satisfacción del usuario. El uso del OVA mejoró significativamente el aprendizaje de temas históricos fortaleciendo habilidades clave y aumentando la retención del conocimiento, la motivación, la apreciación del pasado y la capacidad de indagación autónoma. Además, se recomienda la aplicación de este tipo de herramientas en otras asignaturas del plan de estudios, así como la exploración de nuevas estrategias colaborativas y recursos interactivos.
dc.description.abstractenglishIndustrial Design students often face difficulties in assimilating the historical content of the History of Design course due to the large volume of information and the lack of resources that facilitate comprehension. Although they initially find the subject interesting, their perception deteriorates over time, eventually considering it of little relevance to their professional training. In response to this issue, a Virtual Learning Object (VLO) titled Trazos Históricos was developed—an interactive tool designed to present summarized information, audiovisual material, and didactic activities with the aim of motivating students through a dynamic approach and fostering understanding of 20th-century Industrial Design. The methodology was divided into three phases: identification, design, and evaluation. These phases made it possible to detect the specific needs of students and instructors, structure the content of the VLO, define its visual identity, and assess its impact in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and user satisfaction. The use of the VLO significantly improved the learning of historical topics by strengthening key skills and increasing knowledge retention, motivation, appreciation of the past, and autonomous inquiry. Additionally, the implementation of such tools is recommended for other subjects in the curriculum, as well as the exploration of new collaborative strategies and interactive resources.
