dc.description.abstractLos sistemas de transporte público de la ciudad de Bucaramanga lugar donde se encuentra ubicada la ciudad la Universidad Industrial de Santander son, en algunos casos, deficientes y de mala calidad, debido a esto y aprovechando el hecho de que algunos integrantes de la comunidad universitaria cuentan con medios de transporte privados que no están utilizando en su totalidad, se pensó en desarrollar una aplicación que ayudase a conectar a dichos integrantes de la comunidad y se contribuyera a la solución de este problema a través de esta iniciativa de carpooling. Dicha aplicación móvil se desarrolló para el sistema operativo Android, que es el más usado en la comunidad universitaria, esta, permite a los usuarios tanto publicar como unirse a rutas que les sean de su conveniencia, además, cuenta con un sistema de calificaciones y reportes al usuario. La aplicación fue desarrollada haciendo uso del entorno de desarrollo integrado (IDE) Android Studio oficial para el desarrollo de aplicaciones Android, este usa el lenguaje JAVA, y XML, la aplicación también usa Firebase como su Backend as a Service(BaaS).
dc.description.abstractenglishThe public transport systems of the city of Bucaramanga place where is located the Industrial University of Santander, are, in some cases, deficient and of poor quality, due to this and taking advantage of the fact that some members of the university community count with private ways of transport that they are not using in their totality, it was thought to develop an application that helped to connect those members of the community and contributed to the solution of this problem through this initiative of carpooling. This mobile application was developed for the Android operating system, which is the most used in the university community, this allows users to both publish and join routes that are of their convenience, in addition, has a system of qualifications and reports to the user. The application was developed using Android Studio that is the official Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Android app development, this uses the JAVA language, and XML, the application also uses Firebase as its Backend as a Service (BaaS).
