dc.description.abstractSe presentan los resultados correspondientes al componente avifaunístico de la pasantía de investigación, enmarcada en el macroproyecto permanente del Grupo de Estudios en Biodiversidad (GeBIO) sobre la evaluación de la diversidad regional de flora y fauna. La diversidad funcional de las comunidades de aves se puede ver afectada por las condiciones ambientales particulares, como los gradientes ambientales y la transformación del paisaje. El objetivo de esta pasantía fue evaluar la diversidad taxonómica y funcional de aves frugívoras e insectívoras asociados a dos paisajes (Santa María y Máquina Resumidero) de la zona de influencia del embalse de Topocoro – Santander. En cada uno se establecieron tres puntos de muestreo asociados a tres coberturas 1) transición potrero bosque, 2) vegetación secundaria y 3) bosque. Se registraron las aves presentes en cada cobertura, para cada especie se tomaron medidas de rasgos morfológicos con especímenes capturados en campo y en colecciones ornitológicas. En total se registraron 79 especies pertenecientes a los gremios insectívoros y frugívoros. Hubo mayor riqueza, diversidad y equidad según los números de Hill en la cobertura de vegetación secundaria, seguido de transición potrero bosque y finalmente bosque. Para la diversidad funcional, hubo mayor riqueza funcional y una menor dispersión funcional en la cobertura de vegetación secundaria y una menor riqueza funcional y mayor dispersión funcional en la cobertura de bosque, que se relaciona mayor presencia de especies especialistas. Finalmente, se corroboró mediante un análisis de correspondencia canónica que no hubo asociación entre las variables de vegetación evaluadas y la composición de las especies frugívoras e insectívoras en los sitios muestreados. Se concluye que el grado de perturbación de no es tan alto para generar cambios drásticos en la diversidad taxonómica y funcional de los gremios evaluados y se sugiere aumentar el tiempo de muestreo para tener más datos de respaldo.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe results corresponding to the avifaunistic component of the research internship are presented, framed in the permanent macro-project of the Biodiversity Studies Group (GeBIO) on the evaluation of the regional diversity of flora and fauna. The functional diversity of bird communities can be affected by particular environmental conditions, such as environmental gradients and landscape transformation. The objective of this internship was to evaluate the taxonomic and functional diversity of frugivorous and insectivorous birds associated with two landscapes (Santa María and Máquina Resumidero) in the area of influence of the Topocoro - Santander reservoir. Three sampling points associated with three coverages were established: 1) pasture-forest transition, 2) secondary vegetation and 3) forest in. The birds present in each coverage were recorded, for each species measurements of morphological traits were taken with specimens captured in the field and in ornithological collections. In total, 79 species belonging to the insectivorous and frugivorous guilds were recorded. There was greater richness, diversity and equality according to the Hill numbers in the coverage of secondary vegetation, followed by the pasture-forest transition coverage and forest coverage. For functional diversity, there was greater functional richness and less functional dispersion in the secondary vegetation cover and less functional richness and greater functional dispersion in the forest cover, which is related to a greater presence of specialist species. Finally, it was confirmed through a canonical correspondence analysis that there was no association between the evaluated vegetation variables and the composition of the frugivorous and insectivorous species in the sampled sites. It is concluded that the degree of disturbance is not so high to generate drastic changes in the taxonomic and functional diversity of the guilds evaluated and it is suggested to increase the sampling time to have more supporting data.
