dc.description.abstractEl presente proyecto tiene como finalidad determinar la capacidad vial y nivel de servicio por medio del Highway Capacity Manual 94, Highway Capacity Manual 2000 y el Manual de Capacidad y Nivel de Servicio para carreteras de dos carriles en el tramo desde la intersección vial que conduce al cementerio las Colinas hasta el puente que conduce al Centro Comercial Cacique de la vía antigua Bucaramanga-Floridablanca, para esto fue necesario realizar una toma de información de volúmenes de tránsito de la hora de máxima demanda, transito semanal y velocidades de operación en el tramo vial seleccionado. En las siguientes páginas se describe el proceso realizado para lograr dicha finalidad, donde inicialmente mediante los datos obtenidos de campo se estiman unas variables, factores o datos propios de cada norma para proceder a realizar el procedimiento planteado en cada una de ellas y obtener los resultados de capacidad vial y nivel de servicio del tramo vial estudiado. Después de esto se realiza un cuadro comparativo de los resultados obtenidos de la capacidad vial y nivel de servicio de cada una de las normas con el objeto de analizar la exigencia implícita en cada resultado teniendo en cuenta las variables utilizadas por cada uno de los métodos aplicados en cada norma.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe purpose of this project is to determine the roar capacity and the level of service through the Highway Capacity Manual 94, Highway Capacity Manual 2000 and the Capacity Manual and Level of Service for two-lane highways, through a study case in the section from the road intersection that leads to cementerio Las Colinas until the bridge that leads to Cacique Centro Comercial of the old road bucaramanga-floridablanca. For this, it was necessary to take information on traffic volumes of the rush hour, weekly traffic and operating speeds on the selected road section. The following pages describes the process carried out to achieve this porpose, where initially, through the data obtained from the field, some variable, factors or specific data of each rule are estimated to proceed to perform the respective procedure proposed in all of them and obtain the Road Capacity results and the Level of Service of the road section studied. After this, a comparative chart is made with the results obtained from the capacity of the road and the level of service of each rule to analyze the implicit requirement in each result, taking into account the variables used by each of the methods applied in each rule.
