dc.description.abstractEn los últimos 150 años la historia para las microempresas se ha visto directamente afectada por las crisis como lo ha sido la Gran Depresión, la Primera Guerra Mundial, el colapso del Mercado Inmobiliario y la más reciente la pandemia causada por el virus SARS-CoV-2. Estas, han generado una gran disminución en su actividad económica, dificultad en sus operaciones, bajos niveles de ingresos y altas tasas de quiebra. En países como Colombia, el impacto del COVID-19 durante el 2020 conllevó a que el 10% de las microempresas se declararan en quiebra, el 65,7% se quedó sin efectivo para financiar sus operaciones, el 53% presentó una disminución en sus ventas superior al 50%, las empresas que generaban más de dos empleos se vieron obligadas a reducir su fuerza laboral a casi la mitad y el 60% de la muestra manifestó la necesidad de acceder a financiamientos (EL TIEMPO, 2020). A pesar de lo anterior, muchas permanecieron competitivas en el mercado, generando un panorama óptimo que servía de testimonio para afrontar esta crisis. En esta investigación se identifican y recopilan esas buenas prácticas que los microempresarios del municipio de Barrancabermeja en Colombia adoptaron para mantenerse en el mercado, con la intención de establecer una guía y acciones que puedan ser adaptadas en cualquier otra situación de crisis que se llegue a presentar.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn the last 150 years, the history of small productive units and/or microenterprises has been directly affected by crises such as the Great Depression, the First World War, the collapse of the real estate market and the most recent pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. These have generated a decrease in their economic activity, difficulty in their operations, low-income levels, and high bankruptcy rates. In countries such as Colombia, the impact of COVID-19 during 2020 produced 10% of microenterprises to declare bankruptcy, 65,7% ran out of cash to finance their operations, 53% showed a decrease in sales of more than 50%, companies that generated more than two jobs were forced to reduce their workforce by almost half, and 60% of the sample expressed the need to access financing (EL TIEMPO, 2020). In spite of the above, many remained competitive in the market, generating an optimal panorama that served as a testimony to face this crisis. This research identifies and compiles those good practices that microentrepreneurs in the municipality of Barrancabermeja in Colombia adopted to stay in the market, with the intention of establishing a guide and actions that can be adapted in any other crisis that may arise in future.
