dc.description.abstractLa demanda de energía, llevó a la industria de los hidrocarburos a buscar nuevos recursos en rocas donde estos se originan, liberándolos por fracturamiento antes de migrar. Nacen así los Yacimientos No Convencionales de OIL / GAS SHALE. Ecopetrol-2011, perforó pozos estratigráficos para obtener el conocimiento para desarrollar este tipo de yacimientos en rocas clásticas finogranulares que son una mezcla de sílice, carbonato, arcilla y materia orgánica (shales calcáreos con MO). Estas rocas tienen alta variabilidad a escala macro y micrométrica en la horizontal y la vertical. En la Cuenca del VMM, las formaciones Luna y Tablazo (cretáceo medio / superior), son consideradas rocas generadoras por excelencia. Para conocer el potencial de generar y almacenar HC de la Fm. Tablazo, Ecopetrol perforó y corazonó la totalidad de esta unidad. A partir de análisis hechos en los Laboratorios de ICP, en Sedimentología, Mineralogía, Geoquímica y Geomecánica y con el apoyo de registros de pozo y tomografías, se propone un flujo de trabajo para definir de manera práctica y rápida, intervalos con mayor potencial para producir HC luego de ser fracturados. - 9geoquímica indica que el contenido de TOC es en promedio 5% y el kerógeno es Tipo II / III, reflejando una madurez termal en ventana de gas seco. Por su parte la mineralogía indica mezcla entre arcillas, cuarzo y carbonatos; las arcillas y el cuarzo, dominan en el segmento superior, mientras que el carbonato lo hace en el inferior. Finalmente, los parámetros elásticos medidos por geomecánica, definen un Brittleness Index con valores modestos, que podrían comprometer los 4 niveles definidos como los más prospectivos del yacimiento, por la limitada respuesta a la propagación de la fractura
