dc.description.abstractEl documento presente está centrado en exponer el tema de la areté, desde Platón y Aristóteles, para dar a conocer las concepciones de la excelencia o la virtud desde ellos, explicando lo que para cada uno es, y las condiciones que se necesitan, según los mismos, para alcanzar este objetivo. Se pretende, partiendo de este entendido, estudiar el concepto de la areté en Platón y Aristóteles en los textos mencionados, para identificar los puntos clave, de convergencia y divergencia, teniendo en cuenta los conceptos de belleza, valentía, prudencia y justicia, como factores determinantes para la consecución de la misma. Así, en un primer momento, se identificarán por separado los conceptos fundamentales que cada uno de los autores expone desde su pensamiento, para ilustrar en detalle cuáles son las condiciones propias y las implicaciones que se derivan de cada uno de ellos. En esa misma instancia se expone la base filosófica de los mismos en torno a la ética, en la que se mostrará, implícitamente, a lo largo del estudio, que es del todo loable tomar en cuenta la areté como valor importante. De esta manera, siguiendo ese orden de ideas, se busca, finalmente, establecer un paralelo que nos dé luz respecto a las similitudes y diferencias entre ambos filósofos en torno a este asunto. Es de suma importancia tener en cuenta conceptos como praxis y episteme, en relación con la comprensión del tema, en el sentido de la distinción de las formas de adquirir el conocimiento de la virtud.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis study is focused in explaining the areté subject in Plato and Aristotle to show their concepts about excellence or virtue and the conditions that are needed according to the authors to achieve the flawless in actions. Therefore, is intended to study this concept in Plato and Aristotle in the mentioned texts to identify the key thoughts, the convergence and divergence in both having the look in concepts as beauty, courage, prudence and justice as determining factors which lead the way to excellence. Consequently, the fundamental concepts of both authors will be identified by separated explaining in each one of them the inner conditions and implications that lead from there. In the same approach, expose implying the philosophical core in Plato and in Aristotle as a viable path of ethics. In this way, keeping the traced gold, finally establish a parallel to understand which are the similarities and the differences between both philosophers. It is very important to keep track of concepts such as praxis and episteme in relation to the way to acquire knowledge.
