dc.description.abstractCon el paso de los años en Bucaramanga y su área metropolitana los vehículos particulares han sido el sistema de transporte máscómodo para viajar, por motivos como seguridad, privacidad y velocidady cada vez es más fácil acceder a este tipo de vehículos, en la mayoría de los casos por préstamos con bajas cuotas de interés o simplemente porque no exigen cuota inicial a la hora de su compra. El problema radica en que cada día hay más de ellos rodando por las calles causando cada vez más congestión vehicular. Las vías arterias de la ciudad reflejan niveles de congestión muy altos y las alternativas ya impuestas para disminuir este problema como lo son el pico y placa y el sistema integrado de transporte metrolínea no han reflejado los resultados esperados. El presente trabajo trata de mostrar la situación actual de movilidad vehicular en la ciudad y a mediano plazo una alternativa ya pensada en otros países como Estados Unidos o Sueciapara mejorar la movilidad urbana de Bucaramanga y su área metropolitana por medio de un sistema depeaje urbano que a reflejado disminuciones en los índices de congestión en vías principales de las ciudades donde ya está en funcionamiento éste tipo de proyecto. 1
dc.description.abstractenglishOver the years in Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area private cars have been the most convenient transportation system to travel, for reasons such as security, privacy and speed and it is becoming easier to access these types of vehicles, in most cases by loans with low rates of interest or simply because they require at the time of initial purchase fee. The problem is that every day there are more of them rolling down the streets causing more and more congestion. The arterial roads of the city reflect very high levels of congestion and alternatives already imposed to reduce this problem as are the peak and plate and integrated transport system Metrolínea have not reflected the expected results.
