dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de grado se presenta en siete capítulos. En los dos primeros se hace la presentación del problema objeto de investigación y de sus objetivos, que tienden a incrementar la productividad de la firma Arte y Confort. El marco teórico sustenta los principales conceptos el estudio de métodos y tiempos, el análisis de despilfarros y el estudio de la distribución en planta Posteriormente se hace la presentación de la empresa, lo que permite conocer con detalle tanto el contexto en que se desempeña, como las características del problema operativo que se busca resolver mediante el trabajo. Las diferentes soluciones que se planearon y ejecutaron mediante el trabajo requirieron la participación activa de los empleados y especialmente de los operarios de la planta, en lo relacionado con la herramienta de las 5S´s, por cuanto ellos son quienes conocen en detalle las necesidades específicas de cada proceso y quienes tienen la posibilidad de generar o evitar despilfarros, por lo cual, como se observa en el trabajo, las acciones relacionadas con esos temas partieron de su sensibilización, capacitación, acción y seguimiento. Estos y los demás aspectos involucrados en el proyecto, generaron mejoramientos significativos y verificables, como lo relacionado con la distribución de planta que se aprecia en los capítulos finales del documento y en sus conclusiones.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis research is presented in seven chapters. The presentation of the problem and its objectives are presented in the first one, which tend to increase the productivity of the firm Arte y Confort. The theoretical framework underpinning the main technical and administrative concepts were applied for the job, such as the 5S tool, the study of methods and time, analysis of wastes and the study of plant distribution. Subsequently the presentation of the company is made, allowing more detailed information about both the context in which it operates and the characteristics of the operational problem to solve through the work. The different solutions were planned and executed by the work required the active participation of employees and especially the operators of the plant, especially in relation to the 5S tool, since they are those who know in detail the specific needs of every process and who have the ability to generate or to avoid wastes, so, as seen in the work, actions related to these issues started with their awareness, training, action and monitoring. These and other aspects involved in the project generated significant and verifiable improvements, as shown in the final chapters of the document and its conclusions.
