dc.description.abstractEste proyecto artístico se centra en explorar, documentar y reinterpretar el paisaje sonoro del barrio El Palenque, integrando los sonidos cotidianos de su entorno en una instalación. Partiendo de conceptos como el paisaje sonoro, el silencio y el ruido, busca destacar cómo los sonidos configuran la identidad y las dinámicas sociales del lugar. La propuesta incluye capturar sonidos característicos, reflejando la interacción entre el ambiente y sus habitantes. Además, el uso del silencio como pausa reflexiva y del ruido como elemento disruptivo permite una aproximación crítica a las experiencias acústicas del barrio, resaltando cómo estos elementos sonoros moldean la percepción del espacio y la memoria colectiva. La obra se materializa en una instalación sonora que transforma el espacio expositivo en un entorno envolvente, invitando al espectador a interactuar con la obra de forma activa. A través de esta experiencia sensorial, se busca no solo visibilizar el entorno sonoro de El Palenque, sino también fomentar una conexión más profunda con la comunidad y su entorno.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis artistic project focuses on exploring, documenting, and reinterpreting the soundscape of the El Palenque neighborhood, integrating the everyday sounds of its environment into an installation. Building on concepts such as soundscape, silence, and noise, it aims to highlight how sounds shape the identity and social dynamics of the area. The proposal involves capturing characteristic sounds, reflecting the interaction between the environment and its inhabitants. Moreover, the use of silence as a reflective pause and noise as a disruptive element allows for a critical approach to the neighborhood’s acoustic experiences, emphasizing how these sonic elements shape perceptions of space and collective memory. The work takes form in a sound installation that transforms the exhibition space into an immersive environment, inviting the audience to actively engage with the piece. Through this sensory experience, the project seeks not only to showcase the soundscape of El Palenque but also to foster a deeper connection with the community and its surroundings.
