| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo corresponde a la realización de una propuesta pictórica basada en el manejo de la línea recta para el desarrollo de estructuras ortogonales de dos dimensiones, que fueron materializadas con el uso de la madera. Este material por sus características propias: color, textura, peso, volumen, dureza y facilidad de acople, permite la creación de estructuras sin soporte y otras que posan sobre superficies rectangulares de madera prensada. La austeridad de medios, la ausencia de color como pigmento y la sencillez de la forma, causan un impacto visual a partir de los elementos compositivos de proporción, valor tonal, equilibrio y ritmo. La línea es un elemento recurrente en la creación artística y en la impronta de cada artista se evidencia su vitalidad y carácter perenne. El proceso de experimentación formal se alimenta de los aportes del constructivismo: neoplasticismo, suprematismo y minimal art, y del desarrollo conceptual y plástico de artistas modernos. En la presente propuesta línea y materia se convierten en una sola: la madera le da cuerpo y vida a la línea, se puede palpar, juega con la luz, ve su reflejo, viste de su color, su forma brilla y reconoce una nueva presencia que la acompaña como testigo fiel de su existencia, su sombra. La línea por su parte le da un sentido a la madera, una razón de ser, fluye a través de ella, le da ritmo y movimiento al material muerto; la madera es la piel y la línea es su alma que quiere tomar posesión de todo su cuerpo. La habita, da forma y expande su espacio. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This work is the realization of a pictorial proposal based on the manipulation of the straight line to develop an ortogonal structure in two dimensions, materialized in wood. By its own characteristics of color, texture, weight, volume, hardness and facility to join, this material allows the creation of some structures without a support and others based on a rectangular surface made in plywood. The austerity of elements, the absence of color as a pigment and the simplicity of the form, create a visual impact based on the compositive elements of proportion, tonal value, balance and rhythm. The line is a recurrent element in artistic creation and it leaves its own trace of vitality and perennial character on each artist. The process of formal experimentation is based on several sources of constructivism: neoplasticism, suprematism and minimal art, and on the conceptual and plastic developments of modern artists. In the present proposal, line and wood become one alone: wood gives body and life to the line, it can be touched, play with light, see its reflection, take its color, its form shines and produces a new presence, its shade, as a faithful witness of its existence. The line on its side, gives a sense to wood, a reason to be, flowing through it, giving rhythm and movement to the still material. Wood is the skin and line is the soul taking possession of all the body, inhabiting and expanding its space. | |
