dc.description.abstractEl desarrollo de este trabajo consiste en el diseño y la selección de herramientas software y hardware que soporten la gestión de proyectos del grupo de investigación en radiocomunicaciones RadioGIS perteneciente a la escuela de ingenierías eléctrica, electrónica y de telecomunicaciones de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Para esto se realizó un análisis del las necesidades del grupo, donde se encontraron y se seleccionaron las falencias que mas impactaban al grupo en la gestión y seguimiento de proyectos como en la transferencia y visibilidad de la información, para posteriormente realizar una búsqueda de las soluciones disponibles en el mercado y las necesidades que cada una de ellas va a satisfacer. Con toda esta información se seleccionan las herramientas centrales que el grupo debe tener para mejorar su procesos y generar ventajas competitivas con sus similares a nivel regional. La selección se realiza siempre buscando la mejor relación costo-beneficio para el grupo, así como la disponibilidad de licencias, soporte de los desarrollos, ranking, experiencias y a nuestro juicio lo más importante, la implementación de soluciones provenientes del software libre. Posterior a la selección se hace una breve exposición una a una de las herramientas implementadas y como estas se interrelacionan entre sí para optimizar los procesos, que se buscaba mejorar en el grupo de investigación.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe development of this work involves the design and selection of software and hardware tools that support project management research group belonging to the radio RADIOGIS Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications School of the Universidad Industrial de Santander. For this analysis was performed of the group's needs, where they met and selected flaws that most impacted the group on the management and monitoring of projects and the transfer and visibility of information, then do a search for solutions available on the market and the needs that each of them will satisfy you. With this information the central tools are selected for the group to take to improve their processes and create competitive advantage with their counterparts at regional level. Selection is made always seeking the best cost-benefit to the group as well as the availability of licenses, support of developments, ranking, experience and in our view most importantly, the implementation of free software based solutions. After the selection is made a brief one by one from the tools implemented and how are you interrelate with each other to streamline processes, which sought to improve the research group.
