dc.description.abstractEste trabajo de grado describe la implementación realizada en Acerías Paz del Río de los esquemas de consignación y outsourcing en la División de Compras. Se definió inicialmente el esquema de abastecimiento adecuado de acuerdo a la familia de productos, posteriormente se definió la política de inventarios de acuerdo a los nuevos esquemas y al histórico de consumos de las familias y finalmente se demostró por medio de cifras, el ahorro que generan los nuevos esquemas. Para la definición del esquema de abastecimiento se creó una lista de verificación que pueda orientar al negociador sobre el esquema adecuado, y sirva de base en el momento de la negociación. Para la política de inventarios se calculó el nivel máximo de inventarios y el tiempo de revisión común, basados en los datos históricos de consumo del último año. Los ahorros generados se midieron en función de la reducción en los costos de pedir y de mantener. Al terminar el proyecto se hacen algunas recomendaciones que de ser aplicadas, generaran beneficios en eficiencia y ahorro, sobre los actuales esquemas de abastecimiento. Este proyecto integra las diferentes fases del proceso de abastecimiento de una empresa, y se espera que los planteamientos y soluciones que se sugieren e implementan, se sigan aplicando a otras áreas de oportunidad.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis work degree describes the implementation done to Acerías Paz del Rio S.A. into the consignment and outsourcing´s procurement systems in the Sourcing Division. The author defined the suitable sourcing process, according to the product´s family, then, the adequate inventory policy was defined in accordance with the new methods and the historical consumption of this family´s of products, finally, was demonstrated the savings amount generated through the new sourcing methods. To define the sourcing method, a check list was made to guide the buyer to the suitable method to be applied, and as a base to be used at the negotiation moment. To set the inventory policy was estimated the maximum level of inventories and the common revision period, that was based on one year historical consumption information. The savings generated were calculated taking into account the buying and keeping cost´s reduction. At the end of the Project, it make some recomendations that if it will be done, will generate benefits in efficiency and savings, in contrast with the current procurement processes. This project
