Uno de los puntos más importantes a tratar en cuanto a los yacimientos no convencionales es el tratamiento del agua de producción. El agua de producción contiene un gran número de contaminantes que son nocivos para el medio ambiente y la salud del ser humano, tales como hierro, componentes orgánicos, metales pesados o materiales radioactivos, por esto consideramos
dc.description.abstractenglishWith the recent arrival of the exploitation of the unconventional deposits or shale plays, it has become necessary to discover or to advance as far as technology is concerned. One of the most important issues to be addressed in terms of non-conventional reservoirs is the treatment of production water. Production water contains a large number of pollutants that are harmful to the environment and human health, such as iron, organic compounds, heavy metals or radioactive materials. For this reason we consider the treatment to which this Water. For this reason, the objective of this degree project is to develop a methodology to select and evaluate the treatment scheme of water produced from shale plays using membrane technologies. In order to comply with our objective, it was necessary to study the principle of membranes functioning, the variables involved in the operation of membranes, the advantages and disadvantages of membranes, as well as the costs associated with the implementation of a system of Membranes. The membranes are divided into four categories: microfiltration, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. The main difference between these categories is that they perform the separation taking into account the size of the particles present in the production water.
