dc.description.abstractEn el presente estudio se lleva a cabo un análisis del sector calzado en Santander frente al Tratado de Libre Comercio firmado con Estados Unidos de América en el año 2012, esta investigación se realizó para el periodo comprendido entre el 2005 al 2017, con el fin de analizar las oportunidades y debilidades del sector con la implementación del mencionado Tratado. El estudio se realiza a la luz de la teoría de Competitividad Sistémica, donde se evalúan cuatro niveles fundamentales de la competitividad, el nivel micro; en el cual se tienen en cuenta las empresas como entidades individuales; el nivel macro, que evalúa la intervención del estado como ente regulador del sector; el nivel meso, donde se observa la influencia de la inversión en innovación y tecnología en el desarrollo del sector; y por último, el nivel meta, que hace referencia a las diferentes leyes de comercio internacional y como estas pueden influir en la competitividad del sector. A partir de la teoría empleada se realizó un modelo econométrico con el fin de calcular cual es el nivel más influyente en la competitividad, con esto se obtienen conclusiones acerca de cuáles son las fortalezas, debilidades y oportunidades del sector calzado en el departamento de Santander, intentando mostrar el camino a seguir para aumentar su competitividad.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn the present study an analysis of the footwear sector in Santander is carried out in front of the Free Trade Agreement signed with the United States of America in 2012, this investigation was carried out for the period from 2005 to 2017, in order to analyze the opportunities and weaknesses of the sector with the implementation of the mentioned Treaty. The study is carried out in the light of the theory of Systemic Competitiveness, where four fundamental levels of competitiveness are evaluated, the micro level; in which companies are considered as individual entities; the macro level, which evaluates the intervention of the state as regulator of the sector; the meso level, where the influence of investment in innovation and technology in the development of the sector is observed; and finally, the target level, which refers to the different international trade laws and how they can influence the competitiveness of the sector. From the theory used an econometric model was carried out in order to calculate which is the most influential level in competitiveness, with this conclusions are obtained about what are the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities of the footwear sector in the department of Santander, trying to show the way forward to increase their competitiveness.
