dc.description.abstractEl cáncer de seno es una enfermedad altamente prevalente y con implicaciones negativas en las esferas física, psicosocial, afectiva y sexual. La reconstrucción mamaria mejora la calidad de vida, y su medición objetiva permite conocer el impacto del tratamiento quirúrgico en ella. El objetivo del presente estudio es describir la calidad de vida de pacientes con cáncer de seno y reconstrucción mamaria, y determinar factores asociados a cambios en ella. Se realizó un estudio analítico de corte transversal de pacientes con reconstrucción mamaria realizada entre enero 01 de 2016 y diciembre 31 de 2018 en Bucaramanga, se evaluó calidad de vida aplicando el BREASTQ, y su relación con variables sociodemográficas, clínicas y quirúrgicas utilizando las pruebas tstudent, Mann Whitney, ANOVA y Kruskal Wallis, se calculó aCronbach para evaluar la consistencia interna del BREASTQ, y coeficiente de Pearson y Spearman para identificar relación entre los diferentes módulos de calidad de vida, 74 mujeres fueron incluidas, la mayoría entre 5059 años, reconstruidas de manera inmediata (85,1%) y después de mastectomía parcial (63,51%), el resultado de BREASTQ para bienestar psicosocial fue 83,3, bienestar Sexual 70,7, bienestar físico 74,1, satisfacción con los senos 61 y satisfacción con resultado 80,8, aCronbach para cada módulo fue superior a 0.8, se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en bienestar psicosocial según grupo etario y tipo de mastectomía; bienestar físico según grupo etario, tipo de mastectomía, tiempo de reconstrucción y presencia de complicaciones; y en la satisfacción con el resultado según presencia de complicaciones, se encontró correlación estadísticamente significativa de intensidad moderada del bienestar psicosocial con el bienestar físico, bienestar sexual y satisfacción con los senos. La calidad de vida global de pacientes con reconstrucción mamaria es buena y se modifica según variables sociodemográficas, clínicas y quirúrgicas; El BREASTQ es confiable y puede ser aplicado en nuestra población.

Breast reconstruction improves quality of life, and its objective measurement allows knowing the impact of surgical treatment on it. The objective of this study is to describe the quality of life of patients with breast cancer and breast reconstruction, and to determine factors associated with changes in it. An analytical crosssectional study of patients with breast reconstruction performed between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2018 in Bucaramanga was carried out, quality of life was evaluated applying the BREASTQ, and its relationship with sociodemographic, clinical and surgical variables was addressed using the Student's ttests, Mann Whitney, ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis, aCronbach was calculated to evaluate the internal consistency of the BREASTQ, and Pearson and Spearman's coefficient to identify the relationship between the different quality of life modules, 74 women were included , the majority between 5059 years, reconstructed immediately (85.1%) and after partial mastectomy (63.51%), the result of BREASTQ for psychosocial wellbeing was 83.3, Sexual wellbeing 70.7, physical wellbeing 74.1, satisfaction with the breasts 61 and satisfaction with result 80.8, aCronbach for each module was higher than 0.8, statistically significant differences were found in psychosocial wellbeing according to group age and type of mastectomy; physical wellbeing according to age group, type of mastectomy, reconstruction time and presence of complications; and in the satisfaction with the result according to the presence of complications, a statistically significant correlation of moderate intensity of psychosocial wellbeing with physical wellbeing, sexual wellbeing and satisfaction with the breasts was found. The overall quality of life of patients with breast reconstruction is good and is modified according to sociodemographic, clinical, and surgical variables; The BREASTQ is reliable and can be applied in our population.
