dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo constituye un esfuerzo por volver a la filosofía presocrática e indagar los motivos que provocaron la primera revolución intelectual y científica de la humanidad. Esta investigación: LA CIENCIA EN LOS ORIGENES DEL PENSAMIENTO GRIEGO: UNA MIRADA A LA RACIONALIDAD PRESOCRÁTICA, pretende conocer, en primer lugar, cómo fue que los pensadores griegos del siglo VI a. C. hasta el IV a. C., llegaron a las conclusiones que postularon sobre la pregunta por el origen, el desarrolló y la estructura del mundo, mediante el empleo de observaciones, inferencias y el pensamiento lógico. En segundo lugar, pretende conocer cómo operó el cambio en el curso de la investigación sobre la naturaleza, de unas ideas a otras, especialmente en el campo de la especulación cosmogónica y cosmológica y, analizar el papel que desempeñó la observación, la generalización, la demostración y la deducción en la ciencia y la racionalidad presocrática. El desarrolló de esta investigación aborda el estudio de la concepción general de la filosofía presocrática en torno al problema del primer principio u origen del mundo, y describe brevemente el proceso seguido por la indagación racional en los albores de la cultura occidental, destacando el carácter general, lógico, intuitivo y experimental que tuvo. Por último, la conclusión central que presenta este trabajo afirma la ciencia y el conocimiento como inventos griegos; pues con los presocráticos se inaugura el periodo de la razón estimulando grandiosamente la inquietud científica y el deseo humano por conocer coherentemente la realidad.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis work constitutes an effort to come back to the pre-Socratic philosophy and enquires the motives that provoke the first intellectual and scientific revolution of the humanity.This investigation: SCIENCE IN THE ORIGINS OF GREEK THOUGHT: A LOOK INTO THE PRE-SOCRATIC RATionaLITY pretends to know, in first place, how the Greek thinkers in the VI century B.C. until the IV century B.C., came out to the conclusións that postulate on the question about the origin, the development and the world structure, through the use of observations, inferences and the logic thought. In second place, it pretends to know how the change operated from some ideas to others in the investigation course related to the nature, especially into the cosmogony and cosmologic speculation field and analyze the role that carried out the observation, generalization, demonstration and deduction in the science and the pre-Socratic rationality. The development in this investigation studies the general conception of pre-Socratic philosophy around the problem of the first principle or origin of the world and describes, briefly, the process followed to the rational inquiry in the beginnings of the western culture, underlining the general, logic, intuitive and experimental character that it had. Lastly, the principal conclusión that represents this work confirms science and knowledge as Greek inventions; due to the fact that with the pre-Socratics start the reason period stimulating majestically the scientific concern and the human wish for knowing coherently the reality.
