dc.description.abstractDado el nivel de complejidad, dificultad de operación y mantenimiento que puede adquirir un sistema de distribución de agua potable, junto con las condiciones actuales de los acueductos municipales de Colombia, donde hay baja implementación de herramientas tecnológicas y actualización de los métodos empleados por las empresas de acueducto para facilitar el control de la red, se realiza un diagnóstico técnico y comercial del municipio de Moniquirá - Boyacá, donde se determine el estado actual de funcionamiento con base en la información atributiva de la infraestructura física y los registros de consumo facturado, como parámetros base en el proceso de plantear estrategias operacionales derivadas del uso de los Sistemas de Información Geográfica (GIS) y software especializado de análisis hidráulico (EPANET), que permita generar un modelo computacional que represente el comportamiento hidráulico de la red de distribución. Esto, a fin de evidenciar las ventajas de hacer uso de este tipo tecnologías y el en la red como en la toma de decisiones siendo una solución ante la necesidad de un manejo y operación eficiente de la red que propenda por la reducción del índice de agua no contabilizada (IANC).
dc.description.abstractenglishGiven the level of complexity, difficulty of operation and maintenance that a potable water distribution system can acquire, along with the current conditions of the Colombian municipal aqueducts, where there is low implementation of technological tools and updating of the methods used by companies of aqueduct to facilitate the control of the network, a technical and commercial diagnosis of the municipality of Moniquirá - Boyacá is made, where the current state of operation is determined based on the attribute information of the physical infrastructure and the records of invoiced consumption, such as base parameters in the process of proposing operational strategies derived from the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and specialized hydraulic analysis software (EPANET), which allows generating a computational model that represents the hydraulic behavior of the distribution network. This, in order to demonstrate the advantages of making use of this type of technologies and the concept of making being a solution to the need for a efficient management and operation of the network that is propelled by the reduction in the index of water not accounted for (IANC).
