dc.description.abstractenglishThis artistic creation project focuses on the traditional rhythms of the bailes canta’os from the Loba Subregion, located in the southern part of Bolívar, Colombia. The work centers on the composition, interpretation, and performance of an original repertoire consisting of seven songs inspired by the main tambora rhythms characteristic of the region: Tambora tambora, berroche, chandé, and guacherna. The general objective is to disseminate the tambora songs of the Loba Subregion by highlighting their rhythmic diversity and their role in shaping collective memories, thereby fostering greater local and national appreciation of this cultural expression. Specific goals include performing the pieces using traditional instruments native to the Loba area, providing audiences with a sensory experience that deepens their understanding and interest, promoting these rhythms beyond their original context, and producing high-quality audio and video recordings that capture both musical and performative elements. This project contributes to the preservation and revitalization of Afro-Colombian musical heritage through creative innovation rooted in tradition.
