dc.description.abstractEste trabajo corresponde a la práctica social de archivo en la Escuela de Historia y Archivística de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), cuyo objetivo es valorar documentalmente el fondo acumulado según la normativa archivística nacional y construir las Tablas de Valoración Documental (TVD). Se estructura en ocho secciones: caracterización institucional para analizar su historia; compilación de información para comprender la producción documental en cada etapa; diagnóstico de condiciones ambientales, organización y ubicación de los archivos; elaboración del inventario en el Formato Único de Inventario (FUID); cuadros de evolución orgánico-funcional para representar el desarrollo institucional; registro jerárquico en el Cuadro de Series y Subseries; proceso de valoración documental para la construcción de las Tablas de Valoración Documental (TVD); y una narrativa historiográfica como resultado del ejercicio de valoración. Este proceso fortalece la gestión documental, mejorando la organización y preservación del archivo histórico de la UAA.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis work corresponds to the social archival practice carried out at the School of History and Archival Studies of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS). Its objective is to appraise the accumulated archival collection in accordance with national archival regulations and to develop the Documentary Evaluation Boards (TVD). It is organized into eight sections: institutional characterization to analyze its history; information compilation to understand the production of documents in each phase; diagnosis of environmental conditions, organization and archive location; preparation of the inventory using the Unified Inventory Format (FUID); organic-functional evolution charts to depict institutional development; hierarchical registration in the Series and Subseries Table; document appraisal process for the construction of the Documentary Evaluation Boards (TVD); and a historiographic narrative resulting from the appraisal process. This initiative strengthens document management, enhancing the organization and preservation of the institution's historical archive.
