dc.description.abstractEste proyecto busca analizar la situación actual de las PYMES (Pequeñas y Medianas empresas) de Bucaramanga y su área metropolitana con respecto a las estrategias para el mejoramiento de los procesos de manufactura más utilizadas a nivel mundial tales como: BPR, VSM, BPI, CQT, BPR o REINGENIERÍA; las cuales contribuyen a la identificación de oportunidades de mejoramiento y posterior ejecución de mejoras en los procesos de manufactura. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se diseñó un instrumento de recopilación de información (encuesta) para realizar un censo en las empresas de Bucaramanga y su área metropolitana con el objeto de concluir acerca de la aplicabilidad de estrategias para el mejoramiento de los procesos. El análisis de resultados se realizó por medio del programa SPSS, permitiendo tener una relación con respecto al tamaño de la empresa y la clasificación de niveles. Los resultados obtenidos del programa SPSS fueron analizados y evaluados gracias a la detallada explicación de representaciones gráficas, lo que permitió evidenciar que las PYMES tienen conocimiento pero baja aplicabilidad de estrategias para el mejoramiento de los procesos de manufactura, también se realizó una comparación de las PYMES con las Micro Grandes empresas con respecto al mejoramiento y aplicabilidad de estrategias en los procesos de manufactura. Finalmente, se observó que los resultados de esta investigación demuestran que las PYMES del sector metalmecánico de Bucaramanga y su área metropolitana no utilizan metodologías de alta tecnología, sin embargo si tienen conocimiento con respecto a la filosofía Justo a Tiempo y estrategia 5s.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis work aims to analyze the current situation of the SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in Bucaramanga and surrounding areas in regard to the use of worldwide-recognized strategies for improving the manufacture processes such as BPR, VSM, BPI, CQT, BPR, or REENGINEERING. These strategies contribute to the identification of improvement opportunities and their subsequent execution in the manufacture processes. A data compilation tool (survey) was designed for the development of this research. The survey was used to do a census of the SMEs in Bucaramanga and surrounding areas with the objective of looking at the applicability of strategies for improving the manufacture processes. The analysis of results was made by using the SPSS program, which allows having a relationship between the company size and the level classification. The results obtained from the SPSS program were analyzed and evaluated through very detailed schematics. It was concluded that the SMEs have knowledge of, but low applicability of strategies for improving the manufacture processes. A comparison between the SMEs and the Micro-Large Enterprises was also made in regard to the improvement and applicability of strategies in the manufacture processes. Finally, it was observed that the results obtained in this work demonstrate that the SMEs of the metal-mechanical sector in Bucaramanga and surrounding areas do not use high technology methodologies. However, they do have knowledge of the Just-In-Time Philosophy and 5S Strategy.
