dc.description.abstractEn el campo de acción de la geología, se encuentra un área muy amplia dedicada a la búsqueda de recursos energéticos y dentro de ésta las fases de prospección y exploración de hidrocarburos, cuentan con una serie de herramientas que a lo largo de la historia han sido de gran importancia, tales como el método sísmico y los registros de pozos, las cuáles buscan predecir el comportamiento y presencia de los materiales y/o rocas en el subsuelo. Es por esto que se ha desarrollado este seminario, para proveer los fundamentos geológicos y geofísicos que permitan al geólogo comprender y desenvolverse con eficacia al conocer los fundamentos conceptuales y teóricos que subyacen en esta actividad exploratoria. En este seminario de investigación relacionado con el método sísmico y registros de pozos aplicado a la exploración de hidrocarburos se dividieron los temas en dos grandes grupos. Fundamentos de geología de hidrocarburos, y prospección de hidrocarburos a través del método sísmico y registros de pozos. En la primera parte se investigaron las principales definiciones, análisis de cuencas sedimentarias, sistema petrolífero y modelo geológico o estático. En la segunda parte se estudió el método sísmico tratando los siguientes temas: fundamentos del método sísmico, diseño y adquisición símica, procesamiento sísmico, interpretación sísmica, sísmica 3D y multicomponente, un tópico de temas especiales (atributos e inversión sísmica), generalidades de petrofísica y registros de pozos. Por último se hizo el procesamiento e interpretación de información sísmica sintética 2D, aplicando lo aprendido, mediante la plataforma de procesamiento Seismic Unix del CWP (Center for wave Phenomena).
dc.description.abstractenglishIn the scope of geology, there is a very wide área dedicated to the pursuit of energy resources, and within it the phases of prospecting and exploration of hydrocarbons have a number of tools that throughout history have been of great importance, such as the seismic method and the well logs which seek to try and predict the behavior and the presence of structures, fluids, and rocks in the subsurface. That's why this seminar has been developed to provide geological and geophysical fundamentals that allow the geologists and geophysicists understand and function effectively. In this research seminar related to the seismic method and well logs applied to hydrocarbon exploration, the subjects were divided into two groups. The fundamentals of hydrocarbon geology and the fundamentals of hydrocarbon exploration through the seismic method and well logs. In the first part the seminar investigated the main definitions, sedimentary basin analysis, the petroleum system and static or geological model. In the second part the seminar studied the seismic method covering the following topics: basics of the seismic method, design and seismic acquisition, seismic processing, seismic interpretation, 3D and multicomponent seismic, a topic of special items (seismic attributes and seismic inversión), and an overview of petrophysical and logs. Finally the members of the seminar process a 2D seismic synthetic data in order to apply the learned concepts, using Seismic Unix from CWP (Center for Wave Phenomena).
