Distribución altitudinal de la diversidad y endemismo filogenético en el bloque norte de los andes

dc.description.abstractLas medidas clásicas de diversidad consideran que todas las especies son iguales, es por esto, que se han propuesto los índices filogenéticos, los cuales permiten encontrar áreas con historias evolutivas en común y clasificarlas en Neo o Paleo-Endemismos. Identificamos el patrón altitudinal de Diversidad y Endemismo Filogenético en el Bloque Norte de los Andes y determinamos la congruencia espacial entre las áreas de Endemismo Filogenético y las áreas ancestrales. Para esto, utilizamos filogenias con distribuciones en el Bloque Norte de los Andes y en todo el rango altitudinal. Calculamos los índices de Diversidad y Endemismo Filogenéticos Absolutos y Relativos y categorizamos las áreas en Paleo o Neo-Endemismos. Reconstruimos las áreas ancestrales siguiendo los modelos DEC, DIVA-LIKE y BayArea-LIKE, y calculamos la frecuencia de cuadrículas por tipo de endemismo que fueron congruentes con las áreas ancestrales recuperadas. Encontramos que en los volcanes Cotopaxi-Cayambe, los Andes Central y Occidental Colombianos, el Páramo de Chingaza, el Páramo de Santurbán y los Andes Venezolanos dentro de las tierras medias estaba la mayor Diversidad y Endemismo Filogenético, así mismo, el Bloque Norte de los Andes se comportó principalmente como centros de Endemismos Mixtos. Las áreas ancestrales fueron congruentes con los Endemismo Mixtos sin discriminar por Neo o Paleo-Endemismos. Recomendamos incluir taxa con distribuciones similares y tener en cuenta la posible congruencia entre los índices absolutos y relativos.
dc.description.abstractenglishClassic measures of diversity consider all species as equal, therefore phylogenetic indices have been proposed, allowing to find areas with common evolutionary history and classify these areas in Neo and Paleo-Endemisms. We identified the altitudinal pattern of Phylogenetic Diversity and Endemism in the North Andean Block and determined the spatial congruence between the areas of Phylogenetic Endemism and ancestral areas. For this, we used phylogenies with distributions in the North Andean Block and throughout the altitudinal range. We calculated the Absolute and Relative Phylogenetic indices of Diversity and Endemism and categorized the areas in Paleo or Neoendemisms. We reconstructed the ancestral areas following the DEC, DIVA-LIKE and BayArea-LIKE models and calculated the frequency of grids by type of endemism that were congruent with the ancestral areas. We found that in the Cotopaxi-Cayambe volcanoes, the Colombian Central and Western Andes, the Chingaza paramo, the Santurban paramo, and the Venezuelan Andes in the middlelands were the greatest Phylogenetic Diversity and Endemism values, also the North Andean Block behaved mostly as centers of Mixed Endemism. The ancestral areas were congruent to areas of Mixed Endemism without discriminating by Neo or Paleo-Endemisms. We recommend including taxa with similar distributions and take into account the congruence between the relative and absolute indices.
