dc.description.abstractEsta tesis de grado se realiza en el marco de un proyecto de investigación denominado “Actualización de la Caracterización del Sector Cooperativo en Santander”. De manera concreta, se determina la tendencia de las cooperativas con actividad financiera en el Departamento de Santander durante el periodo 2008–2012. Para ello, se identifica el portafolio de servicios ofrecidos por las entidades cooperativas financieras; se indaga por su funcionamiento de acuerdo al tipo de actividad que ejercen (especializadas, multiactivas e integrales); se describe un patrón de comportamiento de las cooperativas con actividad financiera y, se realiza un análisis comparativo entre las entidades bancarias y las cooperativas financieras de mayor importancia en la región con base en la contribución de la cartera de crédito. De manera análoga, se estima un modelo matemático de regresión lineal múltiple a partir de la variable dependiente cartera de crédito, por ser el activo más representativo en la dinámica de las cooperativas en Santander. El estudio mostró que en el Departamento de Santander existen veinticuatro (24) cooperativas financieras, se constató que la variable cartera de crédito presentó una tendencia positiva durante la serie de tiempo analizada, con un crecimiento promedio anual de $1.050.446.764, finalmente se observó que la comunidad santandereana estuvo sesgada por los créditos provenientes de las entidades bancarias respecto a los servicios ofrecidos por las cooperativas financieras de la región.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis thesis was carried out in the framework of a research project called "Upgrading the characterization of Cooperatives in Santander" Concretely, the tendency of cooperatives with financial activity in the Department of Santander is determined during the period 2008-2012. Due to this, the portfolio of services offered by financial institutions is identified, it examines its operation according to the type of activity engaged (specialized, multi-purpose and comprehensive), a pattern of behavior is described and a comparative analysis was done between banks and financial cooperatives most important in the region. In an analogous way, a mathematical model of multiple linear regressions is estimated from the dependent variable credit portfolio, being the most representative active in the dynamics of cooperative. The study showed that there are twenty-four (24) financial cooperatives in the Department of Santander, in addition it was found that the variable credit portfolio showed a positive trend during the analyzed time series, with an average annual growth of $1.050.446.764, finally observed that Santandereana community was biased by loans from banks regarding the services offered by financial cooperatives in the region.
