dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación es un estudio sobre la importancia del sueño en la obra trágica Macbeth de Shakespeare, partiendo del concepto de sueño en ella y en algunos textos del psicoanalista Freud. Para tal fin, el texto se divide en tres capítulos: en el primero se analiza el sueño a partir de algunos textos de Freud y de la obra Macbeth; concluyéndose que el sueño es importante para el hombre ya que a través de él se lleva a cabo la realización de los deseos. En el segundo se observa a una victima del asesinato del sueño: Lady Macbeth, y por ello se estudia su actuar, resaltando de él, a la razón que la caracteriza y convierte en aliada de Macbeth en la búsqueda por obtener el cumplimiento de su mayor deseo, pero seguidamente se analiza cómo, al ausentarse de ella el sueño, pierde lo mejor de sí y cae en una duerme- vela que termina en su muerte. Por último, el capitulo tres trata sobre las tres brujas: precursoras del asesinato del sueño, pues Macbeth, al gloriarlas como las que representan sus deseos, ignora que son ellas quienes lo terminan conduciendo a su final al permitir que sus deseos primen ante la razón.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe present research is a study about the importance of dreaming in Macbeth by Shakespeare from the concept of dream expressed in this tragedy and in some works of the psychoanalyst Freud. To achieve this, this work is divided into three chapters: in the first one the dream is analyzed from the point of view of some works of Freud and the literary work Macbeth. From this analysis arises the conclusion that dreaming is important for mankind as wishes are fulfilled through this action. In the second chapter the actions of Lady Macbeth, a victim of not being able to dream any more, are analyzed highlighting the reason that identifies her which she loses along with the capacity of dreaming and the beginning of her sleepwalking, turning her into an ally to Macbeth in the pursuit of his greatest desire. It is also analyzed how losing this capacity takes her to her death ultimately. Finally, chapter three focuses on the three witches, forerunners of the end of dreaming. While Macbeth ennobles them believing they had the power to make his dreams come true, he ignores that they are in fact the ones who lead him to his end by allowing his dreams to take precedence over his reason.
