dc.description.abstractEsta investigación tuvo como fín la biografía de Ignacio Antonio Parra. Lo que se pretendió fue comprender una sociedad en una época, en nuestro caso por medio de un jerarca de la Iglesia Católica en parte del Estado y Departamento de Santander a finales del Siglo XIX e inicios del XX; por eso el objetivo de los tres primeros capítulos es solamente describir muy superficialmente su época y algunas de sus facetas como estudiante, posteriormente sacerdote, y su primer obispado, para entender su proyecto de vida y misión emanada del Papa, que se observa en el cuarto capitulo, objeto central de esta tesis, la cual es la romanización de la Diócesis de Nueva Pamplona. Esta biografía desde su inicio hasta su final, tiene como eje central el concepto de la romanización, que fue un proyecto emanado de roma e iniciado por el Papa Gregorio XVI; este se impulsó en la Nueva Granada en 1835, con el objetivo de vincular a las comunidades católicas en un único modelo eclesial, jerárquico, poco dispuesto a admitir la diversidad, y se implanto en la sociedad santandereana a finales del siglo XIX. La fuente con la que se pudo realizar esta investigación, fueron el Archivo Arquidiocesano de Pamplona, y el archivo del centro de investigación de historia regional de la universidad Industrial de Santander, con los que se confrontaron la visión eclesiástica con la del Estado y Departamento de Santander; que nos llevo a concluir que la romanización se dio en dos etapas; la primera de 1880 a 1886, etapa inicial de difusión; y una segunda etapa de 1886 a 1908, donde se impone la romanización; resultado que nos dejo entender la problemática de lo religioso a finales del siglo XIX e inicios del XX en la sociedad santandereana.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis investigation had like objective the biography of Ignacio Antonio Parra. What it was to understand a society at a time, in our case by means of Supreme head of the Catholic Church partly of the State an Department of Santander at the end of Century XIX and beginning of the XX, for that reason, the objective of the three first chapters is only to describe its time very superficially and some of its facets like student, later priest, and its first bishopric, to understand its project of life and emanated mission of the Pope, that is observed in the fourth chapter, central object of this thesis, which is the Diffusion of Roman Civilization of the Diocese of New Pamplona. This biography from its beginning to its end, has like central axis the concept of the Diffusion of Roman Civilization, that was a project emanated of Roma and initiated by the Pope Gregorio XVI, this it was impelled in New Granada in 1835, with the objective to tie to the catholic communities in an only ecclesial, hierarchic model, little arranged to admit the diversity, and implanted in the santandereana society at the end of century XIX. The source with which this investigation could be made, was the file Arquidiocesano of Pamplona, and the file of the research center of regional history of the Industrial University of Santander were confronted, that we took to conclude that the Diffusion of Roman Civilization occured in two stages, first of 1880 to 1886, initial stage of diffusion; and one second stage from 1886 to 1908, where the Diffusion of Roman Civilization imposed; result that let us to understand problematic of the religious at the end of century XIX and the beginning of the XX in the santandereana society.
