dc.description.abstractCrecimiento económico y Salud: Un Análisis para Sur América y México 2000-2014. El crecimiento económico ha sido unos de los temas de estudio que generan mayor interés, inclusive desde Adam Smith, pasando por distintos intelectuales y estudiosos que generaron teorías y nuevos conocimientos que ahora son abordados para soportar los trabajos empíricos propios de la teoría económica. En este caso utilizamos la teoría recopilada enfocando los estudios y teorías en la importancia de la salud para con el crecimiento económico. Los países de sur América en conjunto con México, con excepción de Guyana, Guyana francesa y Surinam. Basándose en la teoría existe para explicar si la salud está involucrada con el crecimiento económico de un país. El poco compendio de trabajos empíricos recientes que expliquen el fenómeno pues la mayoría de los trabajos son del 2006 hacia atrás. Para aumentar la cantidad de trabajos empíricos se decide realizar este estudio con el fin de que todo el mundo pueda consultar y así enriquecer el conocimiento. El desarrollo de esta investigación se fundamenta en la integración de múltiples variables de características relacionadas con la salud y otros aspectos sociales. Asimismo, para estimar los modelos con las variables, se utilizó la metodología de modelo de efectos mixtos para analizar la integración del efecto aleatorio y los efectos fijo que pudiera tener sobre las estimaciones.
dc.description.abstractenglishEconomic Growth and Health: An Analysis for South America and Mexico 2000-2014. Economic growth has been one of the topics of study that generate greater interest, including from Adam Smith, through different intellectuals and scholars who generated theories and new knowledge that are now addressed to support the empirical work of economic theory. In this case we use the theory collected focusing studies and theories on the importance of health for economic growth. The countries of South America together with Mexico, with the exception of Guyana, French Guyana and Suriname. Based on the theory, it exists to explain whether health is involved with the economic growth of a country. The little compendium of recent empirical works that explain the phenomenon since most of the works are from 2006 backwards. To increase the amount of empirical work it is decided to carry out this study in order that everyone can consult and thus enrich the knowledge. The development of this research is based on the integration of multiple variables of characteristics related to health and other social aspects. Likewise, to estimate the models with the variables, the mixed-effects model methodology was used to analyze the integration of the random effect and the fixed effects it could have on the estimates.
