dc.description.abstractA nivel mundial se ha venido dando un fenómeno de desprestigio de las humanidades en favor de visiones económicas centradas en el crecimiento. Las propuestas de eliminarlas de las universidades que se han hecho en Japón pareciesen tener su contraparte en Colombia con la convocatoria 727 la cual daba prioridad a las disciplinas con mayor capacidad de generar beneficio económico. Colciencias niega dar un trato discriminatorio hacia las humanidades, pero también acepta dar prioridad a otras disciplinas. En este trabajo se pretende observar esta problemática en la Universidad Industrial de Santander. La base es un Marco teórico que intenta identificar las diferencias en el trato con las distintas disciplinas, en una concepción utilitarista del conocimiento la cual se adentró en la economía y las políticas públicas referentes a Ciencia. Para analizar qué tan cierto es que existen prejuicios contra las humanidades, se desarrollara una descripción estadística de la situación usando el método estadístico Análisis de Correspondencias Múltiples. Todo esto sobre una base de datos proporcionada por la Universidad Industrial de Santander, la cual será debidamente ajustada para hacer posible el procedimiento. El análisis de los resultados estadísticos se contextualizara con la descripción de la política implementada por Colciencias y una caracterización de la economía santandereana.
dc.description.abstractenglishAt a global level, there has been a phenomenon of discrediting the humanities in favor of economic visions focused on growth. The proposals to eliminate them from the universities that have been made in Japan seemed to have their counterpart in Colombia with the 727 call which gave priority to disciplines with greater capacity to generate economic benefit. Colciencias denies giving discriminatory treatment to the humanities, but also accepts to give priority to other disciplines. In this work we intend to observe this problem in the Universidad Industrial de Santander. The base is a theoretical framework that tries to identify the differences in the dealings with the different disciplines, in a utilitarian conception of knowledge which delved into the economy and public policies related to Science. To analyze how true it is that there are prejudices against the humanities, a statistical description of the situation will be developed using the statistical method Multiple Correspondence Analysis. All this on a database provided by the Universidad Industrial de Santander, which will be properly adjusted to make the procedure possible. The analysis of the statistical results will be contextualized with the description of the policy implemented by Colciencias and a characterization of Santander's economy.
