dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo aborda algunas de las problemáticas que se viven en el escenario educativo de la asignatura de Fisiología Animal en la Universidad Industrial de Santander, más exactamente en el espacio del laboratorio. El objetivo principal del proyecto fue detectar las falencias más frecuentes de la metodología usual y proponer una alternativa didáctica que propicie la apertura de cambios que favorezcan a los estudiantes en su formación profesional. El análisis preliminar ha revelado problemas comúnmente registrados en la bibliografía, como el arraigo del transmisionismo, el papel de los presaberes en el aprendizaje y la falta de estructuración del espacio del laboratorio, lo que ha sido la base para la producción de otro escrito, un Manual de Fisiología Animal Comparada que pueda ayudar a los estudiantes en la construcción de un aprendizaje significativo. La implementación del manual fue evaluada a través de una metodología cualitativa basada en la observación, análisis de entrevistas y algunos productos escritos proporcionados por estudiantes que cursaban la materia durante el periodo de desarrollo de este proyecto. El análisis de la propuesta revela algunos aspectos importantes en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje que deberían ser tomados en cuenta por estudiantes y maestros que esperan mejorar la calidad de educación en nuestra Universidad.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe present work approach some of the problems that are lived in the educational setting of the Animal Physiology subject in the Universidad Industrial de Santander, more exactly in the laboratory space. The principal objective of the project was to detect the most frequent weaknesses of the usual methodology and propose a didactic alternative that promotes the openness to changes favoring the students in their professional training. The analysis has revealed commonly registered problems in the bibliography, as the rooting of the transmission vision, the role of background knowledge on the learning and the lack of the structuring in the laboratory space, what has been the basis for production of other written, a Comparative Animal Physiology Manual that can help the students in the meaningful learning construction. The implementation of the manual was valued through a qualitative methodology based in the observation, interviews analysis and some write products given by students cursing the signature during the time of the project development. The analysis reveals some important aspects in the teaching-learning process, which should be taken into consideration by students and teachers who expect the improvement of the educative quality in our University.
