dc.description.abstractEl presente documento evidencia el desarrollo de un ejercicio investigativo de carácter cualitativo, de corte fenomenológico-hermenéutico, que tiene por objetivo principal describir la construcción de la masculinidad y su posible relación con el suicidio en un grupo de hombres en el departamento de Santander, para ello se aplicaron entrevistas semiestructuradas a hombres con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 32 años que hubiesen presentado conductas o pensamientos suicidas a lo largo de la vida. Seguido a esto, se realizó un análisis estructural con la ayuda del software de datos cualitativos Atlas Ti ®, alimentado mediante la triangulación de información de los datos recogidos, permitiendo evidenciar que la construcción de la masculinidad, para este estudio, si bien no llega a representarse como un aspecto causal directo de la ideación suicida en hombres, dado que la ocurrencia propiamente dicha de la conducta deberá atravesar por la convergencia de múltiples factores internos y externos al sujeto, si se manifiesta como un aspecto que incide en la construcción y materialización tanto de factores de prevención como de riesgo en la materialización del fenómeno del suicidio.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe present document evidences the development of a qualitative research exercise, of a phenomenological- hermeneutic nature, whose main objective is to describe the construction of masculinity and its possible relationship with suicide in a group of men in the department of Santander, for which semi-structured interviews were applied to men aged between 18 and 32 years who had presented suicidal thoughts or behaviors throughout their lives. Following this, a structural analysis was carried out with the help of the qualitative data software Atlas Ti ®, fed through the triangulation of information from the data collected, allowing to show that the construction of masculinity, for this study, although it is not represented as a direct causal aspect of suicidal ideation in men, given that the occurrence of the behavior itself must go through the convergence of multiple factors internal and external to the subject, it is manifested as an aspect that influences the construction and materialization of both prevention and risk factors in the materialization of the phenomenon of suicide.
