dc.description.abstractEste proyecto busca implementar el concepto de “sistemas bench” en la empresa Industrias Pico S.A.S., aprovechar los recursos físicos y tecnológicos que se encuentran en está e incursionar en el desarrollo de mobiliario para personal a cargo de funciones operativas. De esta manera se pretende abrir espacio en el mercado con nuevos clientes, ofrecer un mueble de oficina acorde a las tendencias internacionales, competitivo a nivel local y nacional, sacar ventaja del momento económico en el que se encuentra el país y demostrar que este tipo de conceptos pueden ser desarrollados en empresas con moderados recursos tecnológicos. El desarrollo del mismo se dividió en tres etapas fundamentales: la investigación, el desarrollo de concepto y el proceso de fabricación, mediante la combinación de dos metodologías: la planteada por Karl Ulrich y Steven Eppinger y el DFMA (Diseño para la manufactura y ensamble), que se encaminaron al desarrollo de un producto innovador, que tiene en cuenta los costos, procesos de producción y el aprovechamiento de los recursos de la empresa. Los resultados obtenidos en el desarrollo del nuevo producto son óptimos, ya que se cumplieron con los objetivos planteados, además de la aceptación del nuevo mueble de oficina por parte de los usuarios, evidenció que la respuesta de diseño suplió las necesidades encontradas eficientemente.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis project seeks to implement the concept of "bench systems" on the company Industrias Pico S.A.S, to take advantage of the physical and technological resources that it has; and to move into the development of furniture for staff in charge of operational functions. Besides that, it seeks to open up to a market with new customers, to offer a competitive office furniture in line with the international trends which will allow us to take advantage of the economic situation of the country, in order to prove that these kind of concepts may be developed in companies with moderate technological resources. The development of this project was divided into three basic stages: research, concept development, and manufacturing process; by combining two methods: the one posed by Karl Ulrich and Steven Eppinger, and the DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly), which headed the development of an innovative product that takes into account the costs, the production processes and the use of the company resources. The results obtained in the development of this new product are optimal since they achieved the set goals. They demonstrated that besides the acceptance of the new office furniture by the users, the design response supplied the found needs efficiently.
