| dc.description.abstract | La disponibilidad hídrica en Colombia depende de cómo el sistema económico y su lenguaje cultural se relaciona con la naturaleza, para crecer sin sobrepasar su capacidad de resilencia. Muestra la fragilidad de la disponibilidad hídrica ante las irresponsables actividades humanas, sus efectos en la calidad de vida y problemas de seguridad alimentaria. Busca mostrar la situación real de vulnerabilidad del ecosistema hídrico, su disponibilidad y fragilidad. Se hace una apropiación teórica de la Economía Ambiental y la Economía Ecológica, enmarcada en el Pensamiento Sistémico (incluyendo la ecología profunda), para contrastarse y sustentar el porque de la insostenibilidad. Se utilizó información secundaria, datos estadísticos de instituciones, bibliografía y explicaciones personales. La principal cuenca afectada es la Magdalena-Cauca, con alta presión poblacional y actividad económica, ubicándose ciudades con peligro de escasez hídrica como: Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Barranquilla, Cali y Medellín. La deficiente calidad del agua afecta su disponibilidad disminuyéndola conllevando problemas de salud, alimentarios y económicos. Los más vulnerables a la escasez hídrica son las personas pobres, campesinos, niños, pescadores y sus familias. La privatización del agua causa conflictos distributivos hacia las personas pobres. No hay una verdadera política que busque la sustentabilidad hídrica. La sustentabilidad hídrica se logra mediante un cambio cultural en como el humano se relaciona con la naturaleza. | |
