dc.description.abstractEsta tesis aborda la problemática de la violencia extrema y las masacres, fenómenos que han marcado profundamente la historia de la humanidad. Basada en las teorías de Judith Butler, la investigación se centra en el análisis de los marcos de inteligibilidad que condicionan el reconocimiento de las víctimas y su posibilidad de ser lamentadas. Partiendo del concepto de performatividad del cuerpo, desarrollado por Butler, se examina cómo los cuerpos, al reiterar normas sociales, configuran la vida política y social, y cómo este proceso influye en las relaciones de poder. Además, se incorpora el trabajo de María Victoria Uribe para contextualizar la violencia extrema en Colombia. La monografía explora cómo Butler propone el duelo como un acto político que desafía los marcos establecidos de reconocimiento, y destaca la importancia de re humanizar a las víctimas de violencia extrema. Se plantea que el cuerpo, el lenguaje, la subjetividad y la identidad están interconectados, lo que afecta la forma en que ciertas vidas son valoradas o invisibilizadas. A través de la "ontología social" de Butler, se defiende la interdependencia entre los seres humanos como base para una ética del cuidado y del reconocimiento. En conclusión, la investigación sugiere que el duelo puede ser una herramienta crucial para la reivindicación de las víctimas, oponiéndose a la deshumanización inherente a las masacres y promoviendo una ética que rescata la memoria y el valor de cada vida.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis thesis addresses the issue of extreme violence and massacres, phenomena that have profoundly marked the history of humanity. Based on the theories of Judith Butler, the research focuses on analyzing the frameworks of intelligibility that condition the recognition of victims and their potential to be mourned. Drawing from Butler’s concept of the performativity of the body, the study examines how bodies, through the reiteration of social norms, shape political and social life and how this process influences power relations. Additionally, the work of María Victoria Uribe is incorporated to contextualize extreme violence in Colombia. The monograph explores how Butler proposes mourning as a political act that challenges established frameworks of recognition, highlighting the importance of rehumanizing the victims of extreme violence. It argues that the body, language, subjectivity, and identity are interconnected, influencing how certain lives are valued or rendered invisible. Through Butler’s concept of "social ontology," the interdependence between human beings is defended as the foundation for an ethics of care and recognition. In conclusion, the research suggests that mourning can be a crucial tool for the vindication of victims, opposing the dehumanization inherent in massacres, and promoting an ethics that rescues the memory and value of every life.
