dc.description.abstractA través de la modalidad de Seminario, planteado como un espacio para el desarrollo de la investigación histórica, se discute y reflexiona en torno a la manera en la que se ha construido la historia de los pueblos indígenas. Para ello, se tendrán en cuenta dos visiones. La primera, una visión externa, que ha prevalecido en la mayoría de estudios académicos y en la sociedad en general, que representa al sujeto indígena desde una perspectiva marcadamente eurocentrista y colonial. Una mirada que a partir del uso de ciertas categorías en sus discursos los retrata como “salvajes” y “bárbaros”, lo cual ha generado y contribuido a que se desdibuje este actor social. Fuentes como las crónicas y las visitas pondrán este proceso en evidencia. La segunda perspectiva que se adoptará está enfocada en observar y analizar al indígena como tal, a su propia producción narrativa, donde figuran fuentes como los reclamos, los mitos, las canciones, las danzas, las artesanías, entre otros elementos que parten de su propia construcción oral y escrita. Elementos que brindarán un acceso más cercano a la comprensión de la forma en la que los grupos indígenas se representaron y se enfrentaron a esas nuevas dinámicas que les fueron impuestas, además de permitir el estudio de los medios que utilizaron para tales fines y el significado que tuvieron los mismos.
dc.description.abstractenglishThrough the seminar modality, proposed as a space for the development of historical research, is discussed and reflects around the way in which the history of the indigenous people has been constructed. Two visions will be considered. The first, an external vision, which has prevailed in most academic studies and in society in general, and that represents the indigenous people from a markedly eurocentric and colonial perspective. A look that, based on the use of certain categories in their speeches, portrays them as “savages” and “barbarians”, which has generated and contributed to the blurring of this social actor. Sources such as chronicles and visits will put this process in evidence. The second perspective that will be adopted is focused on observing and analyzing the indigenous as such, to their own narrative production, where sources such as claims, myths, songs, dances, handicraft, among other elements that are based on their own oral and written construction. Elements that will provide a closer access to the understanding of the way in which the indigenous groups represented themselves and faced the new dynamics that were imposed on them. Also allows the study of the means used for such purposes and the meaning they had.
