dc.description.abstractLa Biblioteca de la Universidad Industrial de Santander en el marco del Plan de Gestión 2008, ha seguido impulsando la aplicación de las nuevas tecnologías a su amplia gama de servicios, mejorando su imagen ante toda la Comunidad Universitaria y proyectando esta tendencia a las demás dependencias, convirtiéndola en pionera de la estandarización de los servicios y procesos internos en plataforma Web que presta y maneja la Universidad. Con éste enfoque se ha desarrollado el análisis y diseño del Modulo de Selección y Adquisición de Material Bibliográfico como herramienta de apoyo al Procesamiento Técnico al que pertenece. La Práctica Empresarial tuvo especial énfasis en la gestión integral de servicios como la Solicitud de nuevo material bibliográfico y su seguimiento hasta la Adquisición, así como el fortalecimiento de los procesos internos de Canje y Donación de material bibliográfico, y siempre se tuvo en cuenta la proyección de las Tecnologías de la Información y el desarrollo de nuevas alternativas para el acceso, búsqueda, recuperación y diseminación de la información. Por tanto se logró la interacción de los usuarios y dependencias relacionadas con los procesos, conduciendo a un vertiginoso crecimiento de la capacidad de prestar beneficios y formación tanto académica como cultural. El análisis y diseño del sistema se fundamentó en el uso de los últimas métodos en Ingeniería del Software como la Ingeniería de Requerimientos y el Modelado con UML, para garantizar un resultado de calidad que reúna las utilidades y servicios que el sistema debe proporcionar, guardando los lineamientos organizacionales y funcionales, constituyendo un producto que brinda efectividad y dinamismo en los procesos internos y en la asistencia a los usuarios de la Biblioteca de la Universidad Industrial de Santander.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe Library of Universidad Industrial de Santander in the mark of the Plan of Administration 2008, has continued impelling the application of the new technologies to its wide range of services, improving its image in front of the whole University Community and projecting this tendency to the other dependences, becoming a pioneer of the standardization of the services and internal processes in Web platform that the University provides and manages. With this focus has been developed the analysis and design of the Module of Selection and Acquisition of Bibliographical Material as support tool to the Technical Processing to which belongs. The Managerial Practice had special emphasis in the integral administration of services like the request of bibliographical material and its pursuit until the Acquisition, as well as the invigoration of the internal processes of Exchange and Donation of bibliographical material. It is bearing in mind always the projection of the Technology of the Information and the development of new alternatives for the access, search, recovery and dissemination of the information. There fore it was achieved the interaction of the users and dependences related with the processes, led to a vertiginous growth of the capacity of provides benefits and formation so much academic as cultural. The analysis and design of the system was based in the use of the last practices in Engineering of the Software like the Engineering of Requirements and the Modeling with UML, to guarantee a result of quality that gathers the utilities and services that it should provide, keeping the organizational and functional limits, constituting a product that offers effectiveness and dynamism in the internal processes and in the assistance to the users of the Library of the Universidad Industrial de Santander.
