dc.description.abstractEste artículo tiene como objetivo describir y analizar los métodos, modos e intereses de los ataques de los paramilitares del Bloque Central Bolívar de las Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia contra la población civil del municipio de San Pablo, del departamento de Bolívar, durante el periodo 1999-2003; con el propósito de interpretar desde un estudio local la violencia paramilitar en este territorio. Desde una mirada del paramilitarismo como una estrategia de terrorismo de Estado para el control de la población y como tratamiento a los conflictos generados por la instauración de un proyecto determinado de país, se interpretaron los homicidios, desplazamientos y las desapariciones forzadas documentadas en el archivo judicial del proceso de Justicia y Paz referente al BCB, y la revista Noche y Niebla del CINEP. Lo que nos permitió reconocer que la violencia paramilitar en este municipio se expresó en un ataque directo contra la población civil como medio de control poblacional, dominio territorial y usufructo de las rentas de las economías legales e ilegales.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis article aims to describe and analyze the methods, manners, and interests of the attacks of the paramilitaries of the Central Bolivar Block - BCB of the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia against the civilian population of the municipality of San Pablo, department of Bolivar, during the period 1999-2003; to interpret paramilitary violence in this territory from a local study. From the perspective of paramilitarism as a strategy of State terrorism for the control of the population and as a response to the conflicts generated by the establishment of a specific project of the country, an interpretation of the homicides, displacements as the forced disappearances documented in the judicial archives of the Justice and Peace process regarding the BCB and the magazine Noche y Niebla of the CINEP was carried out. This allowed to recognize that paramilitary violence in this municipality was expressed in a direct attack against the civilian population as a method of population control, territorial control, and usufruct of rents from legal and illegal economies.
