dc.description.abstractenglish | The conventional oil reserves have been presented a decline in recent years. That is why heavy oil is taken into account as an energy resource; however have great difficulty and costs associated with its production and transportation. Because of this comes the need for alternatives to transport heavy oil. In practice, the alternatives that have provided the best results are dilution and emulsification. The overall objective of this paper is to evaluate alternatives: dilution, emulsion, heating, annular flow and Up-grading heart, through the decision matrix method to select the most appropriate technology for the transport of heavy oil applied to the Rubiales field . The Rubiales field development has been limited by restrictions on transportation. The problem of transporting oil by pipeline is presented by the high viscosities that characterize it, making it difficult and expensive flow this stage for operational costs and investment requirements. Due to increased field production, it is necessary to have a crude oil transportation technology that ensures an optimal process, secure and at less cost. The analysis of the decision matrix concluded that the best alternative for the transport of heavy oil by pipeline in the Rubiales field are the technologies of dilution and emulsions. Finally intends to conduct a technical study economic back of each of the selected alternatives in order to choose the alternative that represents the best viability for the company.
