dc.description.abstractDon Santos Banderas, también conocido como Tirano Banderas, es el general encargado del cuerpo militar de Santa Fe; colonia de la corona española en Latinoamérica. La labor principal en la que se ubica el General Banderas es la conservación del orden y la armonía dentro de dicho lugar. A partir de un gran acontecimiento, este personaje se ve en la necesidad de aplicar sus postulados de justicia en contra de su compadre el Coronelito de la Gándara. El problema que radica en ello, no es precisamente en el hecho de escarmentar a uno de sus allegados, sino, que esto, conduciría al Coronelito a aliarse con los opositores políticos del gobierno de turno. Al encontrarse en tal encrucijada decide chicotear a su compadre el Coronelito de la Gándara. A raíz de ello, se realiza un despliegue en búsqueda del Coronelito para capturarlo, pero Nacho Veguillas en un acto de imprudencia comparte esta información con su amante, quien le advierte al Coronelito que se le va a arrestar. Éste emprende su huida y se alía con los revolucionarios. A causa de esto, se desata un enfrentamiento entre los guardias del gobierno con el ejército de los opositores, que trae como consecuencia el asesinato del General Banderas. En este orden de ideas, podría relacionarse la cosmovisión que tiene el General Banderas con las definiciones de máquina de guerra y rizoma que se exponen en la obra Mil mesetas de Gilles Deleuze y Félix Guattari, en tanto que sus acciones no están determinadas por las indicaciones que le da el primer Ministro, y sin importar que él es la única figura de autoridad de Santa Fe de Tierra Firme no vive su vida de forma rutinaria, y más bien se desplaza en un espacio liso que se escapa de toda condicionalidad y determinación
