dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo pretende mostrar la relación entre el cuerpo femenino y el proyecto de modernización de Colombia, en la segundad mitad del siglo XIX, a través de las representaciones discursivas en algunos manuales de urbanidad de este periodo. Para lograrlo acude a la Historia de las Mentalidades de la Escuela francesa Annales, como parte teórico, y al Análisi Crítico del Discurso, desde una perspectiva histórica, propuesta por Ruth Wodak y Michael Meyer. Con todo esto se espera responder a la pregunta problema y corroborar la hipótesis acerca de la representación discursiva de la mujer como cuerpo de Ley y orden en la sociedad decimonónica colombiana. De manera que para alcanzar este propósito, el trabajo se dividió y desarrolló en tres apartados que buscaron, en primer lugar, describir el contexto económico, político y social del país en la época estudiada; en segundo lugar, identificar el ideal femenino que desde la educación se pretendía forjar; y, finalmente, analizar la intención política de los manuales en relación con las representaciones corporales de la mujer. Cumplido esto se pudo concluir que la educación, fuese institucionaliza o no, quiso formar un ideal de mujer que se caracterizaba por acatar una regia moral cristiana como sinónimo de ley y orden
dc.description.abstractenglishThis degree project exposes the relationship between the female body and the project of modernization of Colombia, in the second half of the nineteenth century, through the discursive representations in some manuals of urbanity of this period. To achieve this, the History of the Mentalities of the French School Annales, as a theoretical part, and the Critical Analysis of the Discourse, have been used from a historical perspective, proposed by Ruth Wodak and Michael Meyer. With this, it is expected to respond to the problem raised and corroborate the hypothesis about the discursive representation of women as a body of law and order in the Colombian nineteenth-century society. To achieve this purpose, this work was divided and developed in three sections that sought, firstly, to describe the economic, political and social context of the country in the studied period; Secondly, to identify the feminine ideal that education was intended to forge; And, finally, to analyze the political intention of the manuals in relation to the corporal representations of the woman. It has been possible to conclude that education, whether institutionalized or not, wanted to form an ideal of women characterized by a Christian moral rule as synonymous with law and order.
